The Wellness Road

Get on the road to wellness by visiting “Wellness Road” at the Route 66 Festival June 13-14, 2008 in downtown Edwardsville Illinois.

Sponsored in part by Anderson Hospital, WellCare Health Plan, and AVON, Wellness Road is your place to find health information, further your awareness of breast cancer, get free health screenings, and keep your body refreshed and safe from the sun.

Anderson Hospital returns to Wellness Road to take away the summer heat by providing a shade cooling station, a water misting area and free sunscreen protection! Anderson Hospital will also provide literature on skin cancer and their Warren Billhartz Cancer Center.

WellCare Health Plan brings you a large array of informational booths and free health screenings (click here for screenings). WellCare Health Plan also presents "Name It! Sing It! or Dance to It! live game show for seniors with a special appearance by The Jackie Joyner-Kersee Healthy Senior Steppers!

AVON shows its commitment to breast cancer and domestic violence by providing information on support services, prevention programs, and other educational material.

FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE (handicap accessible) AND FREE PARKING FOR THE FESTIVAL - Shuttle service provided by Madison County Transit. Parking area lots provided by TheBANK of Edwardsville. Shuttle service runs continuously from 5:00 to 10:00 PM June 13 & 14.
